Today was a very hard day, when I called the hospital to find out how her night was I was told that she was bleeding in several places. She had more bloody stools and she was given two more units of blood and two more units of plasma with clotting agents. Shortly thereafter, the surgeon called and told us that he needed to operate on Tandy to replace her trache, because it was missing a little part and they wanted to replace the dressing on her abdomen, to be able to close it a little, with a new type of dressing that would promote healing. I had to sign the permission slip and they were giving her two more units of blood. We received the usual warnings about the fact that she might not survive it and the most dangerous part was, she might have bacteria enter her blood stream and cause sepsis. The surgery went better than he thought, but she is not out of the woods yet because she is still bleeding and they are not sure where it is coming from. She received two more units of plasma and we once again are praying and hoping.

Dear Jen & Family,
I just wanted to let you know that we are praying for all of you during this difficult time. We pray that Tandy will make a full recovery. She is so very blessed to have such a loving and supportive family by her side, and this is great medicine for her. I pray that God gives you all the strength you need to cope with these trying circumstances. May God bless you all and keep you always.
Love,
Marietta :)
I've been reading as often as possible and am only sorry it's taken me so long to say something. I used to be her boy's live-in nanny so long ago (also one of the Ogden clan) and I can't say how much I love Tandy. We're all praying for her and for your family, especially those boys...Cody and "Boo". :) Tell her I love her. If it's okay, I'd dearly love to visit her when I'm in town in June.
