The Tandy Update for Monday

We have a bit of sad/scary news tonight. Tandy started to bleed profusely after she had  a bowel movement, and she also started to bleed from her tracheotomy and also her mouth and nose. The staff told us that this was "normal" for people who are in this type of liver failure since the liver is what takes care of the clotting functions. They proceeded to give her five pints of blood, and four units of platelets to get her blood pressure to stabilize, and hopefully replace what was lost. 

We are currently waiting for them to do an endoscopy to see what may be happening in her throat and stomach, even though the chances of finding something wrong there is minimal. I am still at the hospital and it is 8, and we won't know for at least an hour what they found if anything. So, we need your prayers that they can either find something, or that her bleeding stops, as if they can't get her to stop bleeding, this could end her life. More to follow as details allow.
