Beloved Daughter, Mother, Sister and Friend

Tandy

We have some very sad news to report today. Our beloved, fun loving, sweet Tandy left us this morning, surrounded by loving family and friends. Her passing was calm and peaceful, and she did not seem to be in any discomfort whatsoever. She passed on at 8:47 a.m. this morning due to the fact that her kidneys had quit functioning, her liver had really never work sufficiently and she had developed pneumonia. Funeral plans are being arranged, and will be posted when they have been decided.

May 22, 1967 to June 2, 2008

Here are some wonderful pictures of Tandy to remember her by. Enjoy.

Here is a link to the page that resided on Wharff.net's homepage for over a week.

I will definitely miss her boisterous personality! She was always fun, loving and easy to get along with. Tandy and I were the first to see my darling Kaylene welcomed to this world. She helped us find our home and during the time with her in the "Couv" (as she would call it) I formed a better relationship with her and am very blessed for that. I can clearly hear her voice in my mind say "Bonjour Paul". Until we meet again, I love you Tandy!

I was deeply saddened to learn of Tandy's passing. However, I rejoice with you in the peace and comfort that comes from a sure knowledge of the abiding love of our Father in Heaven, and our Savior, and of the eternal nature of families. mel monique jen, and family, our heart goes out to you. we prayed so much for tandy to return to all who loved her, we were wrong, now realizing that heavenly father and heavenly mother knows best. surely tandy had spent time in paradise and able to see the glory and beauty there, able to feel all the love of her loved ones there. she truly will not have any more turmoil or pain. thanks to the gospel truths we all know we will all be with her again, to visit, laugh again and look to the future together. when my son was received in paradise this is what i said "just beyond the clouds you know there awaits a better day, you need not say good by to him for he is just away!" she is just away too, for only a moment, we,bill and i love you all, very much. love eternally jackie & bill

Tandy was certainly a shining star in my life. She was always a magnificent force to behold.

Our hearts and prayers are with you as you mourn her passing. May you be blessed with peace and the calm assurance that all is well.

I remember well the first time I met Tandy...talking a "blue streak" a mile a minute, never pausing to take a breath because what she had to say was so important!
I was smitten with her energy, passion and talent as I watched her play the piano and organ at our Ward at BYU. We married a year or so later and had many, many wonderful years together.
Out of our union came two wonderful boys, Dakota and Brandon, both of whom love their mother very much. They each share many of her personality traits and talents.
She will live on...in our hearts, in our minds, and in the lives of her children. And in the Eternities, we shall all meet again.

Our Dearest Friends, Mel, Monique, Jen, Tiffany and Chris,

We were so sad to hear of Tandy's passing. She is such a joy to be around and always made us laugh. We have known Tandy since she and Rod got married. What a happy and exciting lady. Never a dull monent around Tandy. We nix named her Tandles, as she is always on the go and you have to hold on to go anywhere with her. What a special lady. I loved being around her as she was my roll model for fashion and style. She would let me play in her make-up and see her new stuff she had or she would do a new hair style on me too. She always had her nails done and her lipstick on. I will truly miss Tandy even though we lost contact in the later years. Tandy is someone who will always leave a footprint in your heart. She is a kick to go shopping with too. I have such great memories with her. Thank you for raising such a sweet wonderful daughter so she could share in our lives. Our prayers are with each of you in this time of sorrow. We just want you to know she was so much fun to be with. May she rest now in peace and joy knowing she is with our Heavenly Father who will now take great care of her. She will truly be missed. I love you Tandles!!!!!

My heart hurts badly as does all of yours. I feel very fortunate to have had the time I did with such a wonderful, close friend through thick and thin. The most caring person I have known to everyone. No one could spin so many plates at the same time as Tandy, yet she always made me feel like mine was most important. I know that for the rest of my life something will happen at least ten times a day that will remind me of her and make me smile. Love, Kurt Beckman

I met Tandy about 9 years ago. We were fast friends and had so much fun together.
We used to go to our cabin and play games til' all hours of the night, laughing and talking.
I loved that she loved lipstick as much as i do.We would always exchange the latest and greatest make up!
Her and i would listen to a song called Do Wa Ditty as loud as we could, and sing louder than the radio would play it. ( WOW!, good times!!!)
She helped me plan my wedding and helped me soooo much. Tandy, always loved weddings! Flowers!!!!
I'm Gonna miss her a bunch.

"Until we meet again sista! You Rock!

I LOVE YOU TANDY, you will aways be in my heart. Im so sorry."

All my love with lots of sorrow.
Your friend Jen

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Childs, Jen, Tiffany, and Chris,

We are extremely sorry for your loss. The first time I met Tandy she made quite an impression on me because she was so outgoing, vivacious, boisterous, and hilarious. She was so warm and friendly, and I knew that Jen was rather fortunate to have such an amazing older sister. It is tragic that Tandy has passed on at such a young age. May she rest in peace in God's loving care. Our hearts go out to you, and we will continue to pray for all of you during this difficult time.

Love Always,

Mel, Monique, and Family:

We were so lucky to have Tandy!

I only knew her as a child & teenager & can see by people's comments that she carried over her fun qualities into adulthood. What a nut! If you were stuck in an elevator with a group of people and Tandy, well...she'd be the glow-in-the dark Superball.

Wherever we go next in life...I look forward to it, because Tandy will be there to greet us!

Dear Mel, Monique, Tiffany, Chris, Jen and Family,

A few weeks ago,I went through my photo albums and found all my old teenage pictures, and I had quite a bit of Tandy. My favorite was the one of Tandy being "The Cob Queen"! I told my girls about Tandy and we would pray for her recovery. One of my girls plays piano well, and she plays for me "Somewhere in time", I've always loved that song ever since Tandy played it for me! I will always have fond memories of Tandy and her fun, enthusiastic ways! She would help me with my English pronunciation and would mostly laugh more than anything, she was a dear friend! She's greatly missed and I look forward to seeing her again. May Heavenly Father sustain you during this difficult time.

To Tandy's Family:

I am genuinely sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Tandy at the nickel and remember her as a ray of sunshine with attitude. She was always perfectly dressed and coifed and always made me laugh. She will truly be missed! I'm thankful I had a piece of her quirkiness in my life.

Tandy, you were always such a happy and fun loving person. Even when times were tough in the ad sales world, your spirits were high. What a sad thing to hear that you have passed. I am sure you are in a better place......

I first met Tandy in 1995 shortly after I moved to the 'Couv/Portland from the east coast. She sat behind me at Trader and within a couple of weeks the boss was threatening to separate us because we were always laughing so hard. And that was very much what being friends with her was like from then on... I barely have any memories of her that we weren't laughing.

Tandy was one of my closest friends during the happiest times of my life living in the 'Couv & Portland. The shock of her passing has worn off a bit but I am still thinking of her every day. The world is a less happy place without Tandy, but I am confident we will laugh together again.
