Tandy's Funeral Photos

IMG_9763

My brother Chris asked Paul to take pictures at the Funeral and Burial service for Tandy, and here are the pictures that he took. They turned out beautiful, and I am so grateful for Paul's talent and the effort he put into taking these important photos for our family. The flowers that are on the casket and on the two stands to the sides of the casket were purchased and arranged by our sister Tiffany. She is very talented, and the flowers were gorgeous! I know that Tandy would have loved them as well. Thank you Tiffany for your time, effort and talents in doing this for Tandy, and for everyone. I hope that everyone that was unable to attend will especially be able to enjoy the pictures.

Also, for those who were unable to attend, here is a copy of the Funeral Services program.

Dave and I are so sorry to hear about Tandy. We mostly knew her as teenagers together in our YM/YW youth group. She had the best laugh and smile. We loved her.
Sincerely,
Amy Kinross

We were very sadden by the news of Tandy's passing. We first met Tandy when she was about 3 years old in San Jose. It's one of those memories that's seared into your mind because it was the beginning of a wonderful association with the Childs.

We were invited to dinner at Mel and Monique's home, which was an apartment at that time. Dave and I were newlyweds and didn't have any children, yet.

As we entered the Childs' home, two sweet little girls bounced down the stairs to greet us, Tiffany and Tandy. They sat on the stairs and giggled for a short time and then warmed up to us and have been in our lives ever since.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time.

I am a high school friend of Tandy's, my name is Pam Rowe. I was just looking for her today on MySpace and found her page - then clicked on Dakota's page, and read the unbelievable blog. I can't believe it. I read all the blog posts regarding her status on this blog. I am so saddened. Life is not fair.

I remember TAndy as SUCH a HAPPY and FUN person. She was so goofy, like me, and we had so many good times together back in high school. I still remember her laugh! I remember she had a little wicker picnic basket as her lunch box. It was great. And she had SUCH A CRUSH on Rich Ogonowsky, ha ha!

Even though we lost contact over the years, I always thought of her and wondered how she was doing. Last time I saw her was when Dakota was still in an infant car seat. She came to visit me in Menlo Park.

My deepest condolences to everyone. And especially to her dear boys, be strong, but don't be afraid to hurt.

Pam Iwamoto (maiden name Rowe)
