One of the big events I was really looking forward to sharing with my family when they visited was to go to Johnston Ridge Observatory, which is the closest you can get to Mount St. Helens by car. We were fortunate enough for a member of our church to let us borrow their van for the trip, which made the whole experience that much easier and that much funner (yes, I said funner)! The only bad part of the trip was that as soon as we arrived, the valcano was covered by clouds for the remainder of the time there. We still enjoyed ourselves in the visitor center and watched the movie in their special super-widescreen theatre. Check out them pics!
