This year we did a little bit more for Kaylene's birthday than we had the year before, she's starting to remember things now! Jen had just gotten home from the hospital so we didn't have too much time for planning, but all of Kaylene's neighborhood friends attended. We decorated the downstairs while Kaylene was taking her daily nap and when she awoke, she was sooo surprised by all the balloons and decorations. One fun thing to remember was that when it was time for her to blow out her candles, we didn't think she would be able to do so on her own, but to our surprise she knew exactly what to do and she blew out both of her candles! All in all, I would say she thoroughly enjoyed her 2nd birthday, the cake, her friends, the presents... everything!
