More than a year ago, one of the very few words Kaylene learned to say was "bus". She always pointed them out everywhere we went. As her language improved, she would start to say that she wanted to go on the bus and I kept saying "We'll go on a bus someday, I promise". Well, that day finally came. My parents have been here visiting because of the new arrival of baby Peter, so I thought it was the perfect opportunity for all of us to go for a bus ride. That day when I told Kaylene we were going on a bus, she was super super excited and that's all she could talk about. I kept reminding that we first had to buy tickets and so she kept saying "we gotta get tickets for the bus" over and over and over and over and over again!!! Once we finally boarded the bus, she was so excited to have her "own seat" and absolutely loved looking high above all the other cars. Once we arrived to the mall, Grandma and Grandpa had purchased one of Kaylene's first build a bear teddy bears, but it started to get dirty, so we went to the build a bear workshop store to get him clean. We had dinner at the food court and then let Kaylene play at the malls play area. When we were done, Kaylene was truly surprised to learn that we would once again board a bus to return home and she did her classic "Yaaayyy, while jumping up and down". I'm so glad that I was finally able to fulfill my promise I had made to her. You've gotta see the pics.
