I just have to share the fact that I have the best husband in the world! For many reasons, but another simple reason made an extra big impact tonight. After a few unusually difficult days with parenting challenges, Paul came home from work, and both of us were pretty tired, from busy days that required a lot of our time, attention and patience. He then jumped right in to get dinner cooked and served to the kids, and while I was taking a quick lay down rest, he came and laid down next to me, just to be able to check in on how I was feeling. He then sent me out of the house to go get dinner out away from the craziness, and I jumped at the chance. Now, I was mindful that he had to go back in to work for a few hours, and being as the time was already almost six, I wanted to just be quick so I could be home soon, as I did not want him to have to be out later than needed. He still told me to take my time and make sure I did what i needed to do for myself. Topping it all off, when I returned, dishes were put away, washed, and the house was all cleaned up. He then waited awhile longer to make sure I was reenergized enough for him to go back to work. Thanks to him, I was able to feel better not only physically recharged, but emotionally as well! I am so thankful that I have a partner in life that shares the load with me, not just parts that are supposed to be “Man’s work”. I told the kids that I wanted to make sure that they could see that a big part of a happy marriage, is having someone who understands your needs, and also remembers that we were individuals before we had kids in the first place. Being supported and loved is the best feeling in the world! Thanks Kitten!
