Jen's Facebook Status

At the end of a long grueling day of mommyhood, I’ve been feeling worn out, exhausted and to be honest, invisible. As every parent there are innumerable times that everyone else’s needs come long before mine. That’s as it should be. I chose this job and I’m very glad it did. But we are human and we all have patience limits. However, I happen to check my Facebook stuff as I’ve got my huge 68 pound 4 year old son on my lap (trying up get him to fall asleep) I happen to see this….. To me it’s an answer to my earlier prayer asking for forgiveness from being snappy, angry and loud to my kids, and patience and understanding to not just get through but to know what to do. Yelling was not working so let’s try some tenderness and understanding to help them through their feelings of anxiety and frustration too. Thanks Kimberly for posting that so I can share with others, and to thank my Heavenly Father for guidance, love and answered prayers. Just as I’m finishing this post he finally fell asleep. Sweet indeed!
