Jen's Surgery to Remove Gallbladder

jenssurgerytoremovegllbl_1

Jen had her gallbladder removed today. We were one of the first for surgery at 5:30 AM. Both of us were pretty tired, but especially Jen since for the last several nights all she could think about was this day. The surgery went perfectly and only took about an hour, with the prep and recovery taking 3 times longer. Since it was a pretty simple surgery, they let her go home 3 hours later. Jen's parents drove up here to help me with Kaylene while I was at work the rest of the week and that was a huge blessing, although they seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves with Kaylene anyway.

BTW, the photo above isn't the greatest since all I had was my phone, but wanted to make sure to get a picture of her right before she entered surgery. If you dare, you can click here to see a photo of Jen's actual gallbladder.

Jen!! I hope you are recovering nicely from your surgery. I'm glad to hear that it went well, get your rest! I clicked to see the actual gallbladder, but it didn't pull up the link. :( I'm sure it was such a cute little gallbladder, too! Well, I hope all is well with you guys! Say hello to your mom, if she's still there, for me!

Bug,

Thanks for your well wishes. I am doing ok, healing well, and trying to be careful not to lift too terribly much other than Kaylene (even though she weighs about 25 pounds) I hope that you are doing well too, and enjoying your little sweet baby Christian! By the way, Paul finally fixed the link, and the picture should work. Really, it is pretty gross, but interesting.
Love you!
