The Tandy Report for Friday

Hello everyone! There seems to be more of the same on the menu for Tandy today. She is still exhibiting the same symptoms of her kidneys slowly getting a bit better, while her liver has yet to really start doing anything to get better. That right now is a big concern, because her lungs and kidneys are doing a little better every day, but the liver seems to be stuck in the spot it has been in for almost two weeks now. We are still hoping for the best, and we are still praying every day that she will get well, and be able to live out the rest of her life in relative peace, health, and happiness. I did have an experience with her today that I consider to be BIG and exciting! When I arrived at the hospital, I went up to the side of her bed, and greeted her. When I started to talk to her, she slowly tilted her head towards my voice and tried to open her eyes. She got her eyes open just a small amount, and I proceeded to tell her that I loved her. After I said that, my mother and I watched her mouth move as she mouthed what looked to be "I love you". Needless to say, I was, and continue to be elated at this small but gigantic communication that she and I shared this afternoon! It was so nice for me to feel and know in my heart that she knew that I was there, and that I loved her, and also that she loved me too! It was great that she was able to communicate a little with us, and it gave us more hope for the future to come with regards to her recovery. Also, they still seem to want to do the tracheotomy, and will most likely be doing that tomorrow as the surgeon was just far too busy today.

I will be posting daily, weekends and holidays included, until we have her back home, and back to somewhat normal. We are so grateful again for all of the prayers, well wishes and time that everyone has put forth and shared with Tandy during this difficult time. We also enjoy reading your posts and comments to what is said on the website, and we look forward to reading some more! Take care everyone!

~Jennifer
