The Tandy Times - Thursday
Today marks one month that Tandy has been in the the ICU. Wow, time has seemed to fly and to stand still all at the same time. Tandy's doctors decided today to do two tests; reason being she is not responding to eye stimulation. The first test was an EEG which measures brain activity and brain waves. The results of that test we won't have until tomorrow morning. The second test was a CT Scan of her brain. Those results were good, as the test did not show any abnormalities (just a little sinusitis). Her general condition is about the same. She continues to spike a slight fever every afternoon. Also, in moving her around today, she would grimace - indicating that she may be experiencing some pain since they turned down her sedation and pain meds. They decided to increase the amount of pain medication to make her more comfortable. Her abdominal wound dressing has shifted downward, but not enough to be a concern. Her next surgery for wound care and dressing change will be on Saturday instead of Friday. We continue to hope, and appreciate all of your prayers, love and concern. We would like to ask everyone to focus their prayers on her liver healing and regenerating; without that nothing else will fall into place, enabling the rest of her body to heal.
