The Tandy Tribune - Friday PM
Today we seem to have more of the same, with her vital signs remaining somewhat stable with the usual slight fever developing in the afternoon into the evening. We still are waiting for the results of the EEG to tell us how her brain is functioning. She shows some positive signs of waking up with the movement of her arms and head a little bit; we are told that this is just part of the waking up process. Her liver still remains in the driver's seat. If it starts to regenerate and get better, then her other organs will do the same and then she will start to make a real recovery. This process, if it is going to take place at all, will take weeks of rehabilitation. She is scheduled to have a would cleaning and dressing change tomorrow morning at 8. For a more scientific way to say it, they will be irrigating the wound, and re-packing and dressing the wound, in an attempt to eventually close it. We are moving her out of her house tomorrow, and we pray that everything will fit in the space that we have to put it in. We look forward to seeing everyone there that can help us with the move. For more information, see the "Important" post regarding the Saturday Move. ~Jen
