The Tandy Tribune - Saturday Evening
Today was a busy day for us. With the help of many friends and family, we got Tandy's belongings into a garage space to save for her to use when she gets well. It has been a big task to clean out her home wile to she is not there to say what she does and does not want to keep. As far as her health goes, she is about the same. The surgery mentioned yesterday was postponed until Sunday due to many emergency surgeries that needed immediate attention. We have two tests to report on. One is that the EEG report is normal (brain function is normal under anesthesia). The other was a bronchoscopy that looks for possible bacterial infection in the lungs. That too was clear and she tested negative for any type of sickness, which is a good thing. She still has some minor lower GI bleeding (possibly from post gastric bypass scar tissue) that is causing her to have very dark stools, but the bleeding is not severe enough to cause great alarm. She also still has a hole in her bowel from a previous endoscopy gone wrong. If it does not close spontaneously, it could prove to be dangerous down the road. We continue to pray for her complete recovery, hoping for the liver to respond quickly, as the rest of her recovery depends upon it. Thank you again for your faithful prayers and support.
