Tandy Update - Friday

First of all, we want to apologize for the delay in posting. We have been so busy, and we did not realize just how much people are relying on this weblog for information. It just goes to show how many people know and love Tandy, and want to continue to give their love and support.

Today's post is written by Tandy's mother, Monique:

So sorry I have not update our little newsletter but we have been busy. Tandy's house was sold this morning and we were attending that. Now, our next step with that is to empty her house. Yesterday was a good day. She was holding her own, no fever and nothing much was changing about her incision. This morning however, her fever is up, she seems more agitated, her liver and kidney functions are diminishing and the respirator is doing all the breathing for her. She has not regained consciousness yet, mostly because she is kept sedated and they give her plenty of pain killers; as you can well imagine this is a very painful surgery. We are still hoping and praying that her liver will start working again. Today however, the doctor did say that he thought the the liver was no different...no better, no worse.

We promise to not wait so long next time between updates. Thanks again for your love, support, and concern for not only Tandy, but our whole family.

Thank you so much for keeping us up to date. I have been anxiously awaiting each post.

When she gets stronger, is there a chance for a liver transplant? I don't know much about that - just thought I'd ask.

We love you and are praying for you all. Ed and Jan and family

Hi there to the whole clan! This is the Cole family...

Our prayers have been with Tandy and the whole family through these times. We understand the challenge of the back and forth with the medical system and the emotional toll it places on the family. You're all so strong, and the togetherness will show Tandy the way.

Love,

Mitch, Denise & Sarah

Wow, I was super good friends with Tandy before the stomach sugery. and I am so sad and worried. I am wondering if the doctors think that this has anything to do with the fact that she had this sugery? My thoughts and prayers are with her and family. This must be hard on everyone especially her boy's Hugh!?
THINKING OF YOU ALL OFTEN.
