Hi. It seems that from hour to hour the prognosis changes. This morning the doctor in charge of the ICU said that her chances of survival were very slim and we needed to prepare ourselves. She had developed a high fever and nobody seemed to know the cause. They ran another CT scan and we are waiting for the results. The doctor, the other day, had given her a 1 to 2% chance of survival but this AM doctor said he thought it was more than that. By Friday she will have a tracheotomy which will greatly reduce the possibility of infection in her lungs (unless of course she starts breathing on her own). Her kidneys are working much better now and so she is no longer swollen everywhere (except maybe her liver). Many people are praying for her recovery and we have received much support from our church here in Vancouver. We thank everyone who has sent well wishes.
