Tandy's Update for Wednesday

Today was an interesting day, when the doctor came in this morning he said "she is no better today, matter of fact she is a little bit worse." I was surprised since I had noticed several good things. After awhile he admitted that her kidneys were now working much better, that she was moving her arms, head and legs, that her fever was gone and her white blood cell count was normal. Yes her liver is still not working and that certainly is a great worry but there was also a lot of things to be happy about. If she wakes up completely by Friday they will then remove her breathing tube and let her breathe on her own; if she doesn't they will do a tracheotomy. All in all some bad news but also some good news. We are praying that she will wake up and that her liver will start working. Another fun thing, is at times she will move her head toward the voice of the person speaking. It can make you feel even more like you are getting through to her in some way. We are so grateful for all of the prayers and kind thoughts from everyone. Take care!

I am so worried about Tandy. She was so kind after my son-in-law passed away and I feel like I have just gotten to know her after all these years. Jen, could you please contact me at jyp_49@yahoo.com? I tried to send you a message through your blog "contact us" link but it failed twice. Thanks so much. I love you guys and am praying with all my heart.

Hello, my name is Holly Sundwall. I consider Tandy to be one of my best friends. We met in Vancouver in 92. We had both just moved there and we became fast friends. We walked every morning at the Vancouver Mall. You will have to ask her about the time my son Gary was running away from Cody and my daughter Lezlie and he turned and screamed "Nenner, Neener, Neener, you don't got no weenier!" Tandy about wet her pants laughing while I yelled at him "Gary, that's icky, don't say that!" I guarentee she will laugh out loud. We had so much fun painting and selling our goods at craft fairs. She taught me to be self confident and got me to not be so quiet. My children adore her and remember her contagious laugh. Tandy remembers my husband screaming "HOLLY" when he needed something. Thanksgiving dinners and shopping, kids, piano lessons, Jenny Klumker feeding cookie dough to the kids for lunch, afternoons at the pater park. Every thing every day for three years. It was wonderful. Please tell your mom and dad hi for me, they are wonderful parents, Tandy loves them very much and always sings their praises. Please whisper in Tandy's ear that Marion and Holly Sundwall love her VERY much. Our family dedicated our fast to her Sunday and she and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
Yours Truly, Love Holly

Hi Jen,

I heard through the GO Ward Yahoo Group about your sister. My thoughts & Prayers are with you all.

I've been wondering where life had taken you (Vancouver!) and have thought about you now & then. I'm sorry to be reconnected under these circumstances but am happy to read about you all.

I look forward to updates on Tandy - and when things settle down, please write so we can catch up!
