Merry Christmas to Me!

Time for some serious (and fun) picture taking. Let's just say that I got this camera for a smokin deal, like 500 bucks off and I got a company bonus this year that covered the price of the camera!

Ever since we had to give back the PowerShot G5 to the school Jen use to teach at, I had been missing all the advance features of that camera and since this is a shutter digital camera (dSLR), I can take pictures with even more advance features than ever before! Just to name a few:

• The camera can do a Max Burst of 14 at highest quality and 780 at highest quality. Basically means you can take pictures really really fast!
• Auto Exposure and White Balance Bracketing! Basically, it takes 9 pictures with one shot, all having slightly different color variations. Dang cool if you want to make sure you get that perfect sunset shot!
• 7 point AF metering! When you look in the viewfinder, the viewfinder actually scans your eye to see where in the shot you are looking and will focus on the object your looking at. Too cool.
• ISO 1600 allows me to take pictures in really low light or for thing that are moving really fast in daylight!

Ofcourse there are many more awesome features that would make me ramble on too much, but I think you get the idea of how excited I am about this new little toy!
