Wharff Family Portraits

Family-Portrait
Nancy had been planning for months to take a family portrait of all the "kids" & "grandkids" and give it to Mom and Dad as their Christmas present for them this year (since magically Nancy got their names for Secret Santa this year :) ).

I had suggested to her that get a family portrait of everyone, including
Mom and Dad. At first she didn't like this idea because she wanted it to be a surprise that Mom and Dad would open on Christmas day, but after much convincing she finally saw the advantage of having us all in the picture. So she came up with a cleaver idea! Create a dorky, corny family picture from random pictures cut out and pasted all together and give it to them as their present.

So we all met-up at Nancy's for the event and Nancy got Mom and Dad to come over, but they had no idea we we're all there. So we all came out and surprised them. Nancy then gave her the wrapped fake family picture with a note with it that said "Since this Family Portrait is soooo hideous, let's all get a Professional Family Portrait" or something close to that. Mom was very happy/emotional and of-course if you know my Mom, you know that even though the fake picture was sooo funny looking, she loved that tooo.

Nancy had set up the portrait sitting months before with JC Penny department store. When we finally showed up to get out picture taken, one of the employee's informed us that they couldn't take a portrait of more than 10 people at once and there was 16 of us! Since we all were dressed us nice with out hair done and looking all snazzy, we needed to quickly figure out plan B! Jen immediately got on the phone and I checked out another portrait studio in the mall called Kitty Kandids. Fortunately for there was another studio in the mall and even more fortunately they had a no show for a previous appointment.

We had a great time trying to get us all in the picture, but with some patience and giggling, we finally made it happen.
Be sure to check them out here.
